August 19, 2014 Board Meeting Agenda Item #17 Title APPROVAL OF THE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT WITH NORTH PORT ACTIVITY FIVE ASSOCIATION, INC. AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA Description This settlement resolves a dispute between the parties confirming that the School Board is exempt from assessments which may be levied by the Association. The funds used to pay the City of North Port came from the purchase price of the property which the School Board previously put into escrow in 2009. Recommendation That the settlement agreement between the North Port Activity Five Association, Inc., and the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida, be approved as presented.
